Açaí Chia Smoothie Bowl

Also known as ‘Happy Bowl’Home made açaí bowls are easy, significantly lower in added sugars but just as yummy as store bought! Store bought often have added honey/ maple syrup/ agave on top of added sugars! This açaí bowl is one of my favs

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 frozen banana

  • 1 packet frozen Açaí (3.5 oz/ 100gm) (From Trader Joe's)

  • Left over fruit - in this bowl I have berries and cherries 🍒

  • Crunch - granola / nuts (I used Keto crunch from Whole Foods)

  • Chia Pudding: 1 TBSP of chia seeds and 1/2 cup of liquid (I use flax milk/nut milk/pea protein milk but you can use any milk your heart desires!)

Instructions:

  1. Blend your banana and Açaí together in a Vitamix

  2. Scoop it into a bowl and top with your favorite fruits, granola/nuts, and chia pudding

  3. Enjoy!

Are you afraid of fruits? Actual fruits have fiber, antioxidants, minerals , vitamins! Especially berries are loaded with antioxidants. Mangoes are my fav fruit but are higher in glycemic index compared to berries . Hence portion size matters. They are in season and these mangoes are so juicy!!! Cherries are my other favorite fruit! I love fruits and eat them daily. On Saturdays I treat myself with a home made luxurious Açaí bowl loaded with my favorite fruits!
